The SCTIB had seven good projects to consider but eventually determined these four projects represented a good use of the State’s transportation dollars due to the scope of each project and the size of each project’s local match. The project in Greenwood County furthers the SCTIB’s support of providing financial assistance to rural areas across the State.
Consistent with State law, the Bank submitted its approved projects to the SCDOT Commission for their consideration. On September 15, the SCDOT Commission voted unanimously to approve those four projects for financial assistance. The next step is for the Joint Bond Review Committee to approve these projects later this fall.
Additionally, the SCTIB Board unanimously approved to commence implementation of its Rural Projects Program. An application period for the Rural Projects Program is forthcoming. Projects approved for financial assistance.
